Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL), the flagship entity of the Adani Group, has officially inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jabil Inc., a global leader in engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing. This significant agreement paves the way for a joint venture focused on manufacturing and assembling advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and data center equipment within India.
The MoU formalizes an intent first announced in June 2026, when the two groups declared their strategic alliance to cultivate a robust AI and data center infrastructure manufacturing ecosystem across India.
Building India's AI Infrastructure
The proposed joint venture will concentrate on producing crucial components for the rapidly expanding AI sector and data centers. This includes the manufacturing and assembly of:
- AI racks
- Servers
- Storage solutions
- Networking equipment
- Power distribution units
- Liquid-cooling systems
- Transformers
These racks are designed to house high-performance computing systems essential for AI applications and various other digital services, supporting a combined power capacity of several gigawatts. The venture will also extend its services to include installation and commissioning of the equipment.
Adani's Vision for the Intelligence Economy
"The AI revolution will demand far more than just breakthroughs in algorithms. It will require an entire new industrial architecture where energy, hyperscale infrastructure, advanced computing and precision manufacturing converge to power the intelligence economy."
— Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group
Gautam Adani emphasized the strategic importance of this collaboration, stating that Adani's vision is to ascend the AI value chain. This involves moving beyond powering and hosting AI infrastructure to actively engineering and manufacturing the critical systems that will define future computing.
A Strategic Alliance for Global AI
Mr. Adani further elaborated, "Our proposed joint venture with Jabil marks a strategic step towards this future, combining Jabil’s world-class engineering and manufacturing capabilities with Adani’s integrated strengths in energy, infrastructure and data centres to help build the physical backbone of the global AI economy." This partnership is poised to significantly bolster India's position in the global AI hardware supply chain.
Shares of Adani Enterprises Limited saw a 2.39% increase in the previous trading session, closing at Rs 2694, with the firm's market capitalization standing at Rs 3.64 lakh crore.
