Mukesh and Nita Ambani, along with their children, visited Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple following Jio Platforms Ltd.'s successful stock market listing. Shares debuted 21.36% above their IPO price, boosting the Reliance group's market valuation.

The Ambani family, including Reliance Industries (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani, his wife Nita Ambani, and their children Anant, Akash, and Isha, offered prayers at Mumbai's iconic Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Mandir on Wednesday. This visit followed the positive stock market debut of Jio Platforms Ltd (JPL), marking a significant corporate milestone for the group.

The family's tradition of seeking Lord Ganesha's blessings at the Siddhivinayak Temple is well-known, often preceding or following major family events and corporate achievements.

Jio Platforms' Market Listing Success

Jio Platforms shares commenced trading on a strong note, listing at ₹1,358 apiece on both the BSE and NSE. This represented a significant 21.36 percent premium over its initial public offering (IPO) price of ₹1,119 per share.

Market Valuation and Group Leadership

During early trading, Jio Platforms Ltd. achieved a market valuation of ₹12.50 lakh crore. This impressive debut allowed it to surpass Bharti Airtel, becoming the second-most valued firm in India after its parent company, Reliance Industries. The successful listing also propelled the broader Reliance group to a combined market capitalization exceeding ₹30 lakh crore, making it the most valued group in the Indian stock market, overtaking the Tata group.

The Jio Platforms IPO, valued at ₹30,213 crore, concluded with overwhelming demand, receiving bids for 22.19 times the shares on offer. The total demand, including public issue and anchor investor placement, surpassed ₹7.4 lakh crore, with approximately 1.39 crore applications.
