Indian Railways has announced a significant expansion of its services, introducing two new daily trains, extending four existing routes, and adding seven new stoppages. These developments aim to improve rail connectivity and passenger convenience across key states, including Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh.
New Daily Train Services Approved
The Railway Board has given its approval for two new daily train operations:
- Kasganj-Aishbagh Express (15312/15311): This new service will connect Kasganj and Aishbagh in Uttar Pradesh. Train 15312 will depart Kasganj at 4:20 AM, reaching Aishbagh at 1:00 PM. The return journey, train 15311, will leave Aishbagh at 2:00 PM and arrive in Kasganj at 10:40 PM. Stops include Ujhani, Badaun, Bareilly, Izzatnagar, Pilibhit, Puranpur, Mailani, Gola Gokarannath, Lakhimpur, Sitapur, Sidhauli, and Mohibullapur.
- Valsad-Surat MEMU (69149): This daily MEMU service will operate between Valsad and Surat in Gujarat. Train 69149 will depart Valsad at 1:20 PM and reach Surat at 4:40 PM. It will make stops at Dungri, Joravasan, Bilimora, Amlasad, Ancheli, Vedchha, Gandhi Smriti, Navsari, Maroli, Sachin, Bhestan, and Udhna.
Four Existing Train Routes Extended
Several popular train services will see their routes extended, providing longer reach for passengers:
- Varanasi City-Gorakhpur Express (15132/15131) extended to Nepalganj Road: Train 15132 will now depart Varanasi City at 10:35 PM, arriving at Nepalganj Road at 11:20 AM the next day. Train 15131 will leave Nepalganj Road at 4:15 PM, reaching Varanasi City at 5:30 AM the next day. Additional stoppages include Nakaha Jungle, Peppeganj, Campierganj, Anand Nagar, Siddharth Nagar, Shohratgarh, Barhni, Tulsipur, Balrampur, Gonda, Payagpur, Bahraich, and Risia.
- Rewa-Jabalpur Express (22189/22190) extended to Madan Mahal: Train 22190 Rewa-Madan Mahal Express will depart Rewa at 5:45 AM, arriving at Madan Mahal at 10:07 AM, with a stop at Jabalpur from 9:46 AM to 9:51 AM. Train 22189 Madan Mahal-Rewa Express will depart Madan Mahal at 5:00 PM, reach Jabalpur at 5:10 PM, and arrive in Rewa at 9:22 PM.
- Jabalpur-Ambikapur Express (11265/11266) extended to Madan Mahal: Train 11266 Ambikapur-Madan Mahal Express will depart Ambikapur at 6:15 AM, reaching Madan Mahal at 3:20 PM, with a stop at Jabalpur from 2:55 PM to 3:00 PM. Train 11265 Madan Mahal-Ambikapur Express will depart Madan Mahal at 12:25 PM, reach Jabalpur at 12:35 PM, and arrive in Ambikapur at 11:00 PM.
Seven Trains Receive New Stoppages
Passengers will benefit from additional boarding and deboarding options on seven routes with newly approved stoppages:
- Achhnera-Tanakpur Express (15093/15094) at Banbasa
- Pune-Howrah Duronto Express (12221/12222) at Akola
- Kasganj-Achhnera Passenger (55331/55332) at Garhi Beri
- Bandra(T)-Vatva Karnavati Express (12933/12934) at Navsari
- Indore-Bareilly Express (14319/14320) at Dibai
- Pune-Jabalpur Express (20161/20162) at Khandwa
- Jamalpur-Gaya MEMU (63387/63388) at Pawai Brohmasthan
The respective railway zones are expected to issue separate notifications confirming the effective dates for these new services, extended routes, and additional stoppages.
