JioBlackRock International AMC (IFSC) Private Limited, a subsidiary of JioBlackRock Asset Management, has officially launched its new global equity fund, the JioBlackRock Advantage World Equity Fund (IFSC). This initiative, facilitated through GIFT City, aims to broaden investment avenues for eligible Indian investors, allowing them to participate in international stock markets.
The fund is structured as an open-ended fund of funds under the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) regulations. It is designed to primarily invest 90–100% of its assets into units of the existing BlackRock Advantage World Equity Fund, which boasts a track record of over eight years.
Accessing Global Developed Markets
Investors in the JioBlackRock global equity fund will gain exposure to a diversified portfolio of companies operating across key sectors such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, biotechnology, industrial transformation, and energy infrastructure. The underlying fund maintains significant allocations to US equities, complemented by investments in European and Japanese markets.
According to JioBlackRock, the investment strategy combines human expertise with systematic research, leveraging machine learning, alternative data, and robust risk-management techniques. This approach is designed to identify promising opportunities within developed-market equities. BlackRock's Systematic Active Equity team, with over four decades of experience in systematic investing, manages the underlying fund, utilizing BlackRock's proprietary Aladdin platform for portfolio construction and risk management.
