Shares of Sterlite Technologies Ltd experienced a significant rally, hitting their third consecutive upper circuit on Tuesday. The stock also achieved a fresh 52-week high for the second straight session, reflecting strong investor confidence. This remarkable surge has seen the stock gain an astounding 707% in 2026 alone, with a 356% increase over the last six months.
The current rally is largely attributed to an investor meeting held last week, where Sterlite Technologies unveiled its ambitious targets for Fiscal Year 2029 (FY29). The company's 'Lakshya' roadmap outlines a target revenue of Rs 20,000 crore by FY29, which is more than four times its FY26 levels, alongside an impressive EBITDA margin exceeding 27%.
Analyst Optimism and Capacity Expansion
Following the announcement, Nuvama analysts reiterated a 'buy' call on the telecom equipment stock and significantly raised their price target. The brokerage increased its FY27 and FY28 EBITDA estimates by 22% and 38% respectively, updating their price target for Sterlite Technologies to Rs 1,100 from the previous Rs 770, citing the company's robust revenue, profitability, and capital expenditure guidance.
In line with its growth projections, Sterlite Technologies also approved a substantial Rs 3,000 crore capital expenditure (capex) plan. This investment is earmarked for expanding manufacturing capacity at its existing facilities by approximately 50%. The company anticipates completing this expansion by the end of FY29, which will significantly bolster its production capabilities to support projected growth.
