Google's screenless Fitbit Air fitness tracker has appeared on Flipkart with a price of ₹13,999, signaling its imminent October launch in India. The wearable offers 24/7 health tracking, long battery life, and works with both iOS and Android.

Google's highly anticipated Fitbit Air, a screenless fitness tracker, is set to make its debut in India this October. The device has reportedly been listed on Flipkart, revealing an early price point of ₹13,999 for the Indian market.

This early listing, shared by Debayan Roy of Gadgetsdata on X, provides consumers with a first look at the wearable's potential cost and key features ahead of its official release. Google had previously confirmed an October launch for the Fitbit Air in India but had not disclosed local pricing or region-specific details.

Advanced Health Monitoring Features

The Fitbit Air is designed for continuous health data collection without the distraction of a display, syncing all information to a companion smartphone app. It boasts a comprehensive suite of health tracking capabilities, including 24/7 heart-rate monitoring, SpO2 (blood oxygen) tracking, and skin-temperature measurement. Users can also expect recovery insights, which will be further enhanced by a Google Gemini-powered coach feature.

Battery Life and Compatibility

One of the standout features of the Fitbit Air is its impressive battery performance. The tracker is reported to deliver up to seven days of usage on a single charge. For quick power-ups, just five minutes of charging can reportedly provide a full day of battery life. Weighing a mere 12 grams, the device is designed to be lightweight and comfortable for continuous wear.

In terms of compatibility, the Fitbit Air is versatile, supporting both iOS and Android devices, ensuring a broad user base can integrate it into their daily routines.

Subscription Model and Market Positioning

A notable aspect of the Fitbit Air's strategy is its approach to subscriptions. Crucially, important features of the device will not require a recurring payment. An optional $10 subscription is mentioned, which is expected to offer access to additional, premium services while keeping core functionalities available to all users without extra cost.

The Fitbit Air is positioned as a direct competitor to wearables like Whoop, emphasizing continuous health, fitness, and recovery tracking over a traditional smartwatch experience. Its display-free design underscores Google's focus on a distraction-free approach to personal wellness management.
