Former US President Joe Biden's prostate cancer has progressed, spreading further beyond his bones and causing him severe pain, his son Hunter Biden revealed in a recent interview with the BBC. Hunter Biden stated that the cancer has “metastasized into his bones and further,” describing the condition as “very painful, and it’s very debilitating in many respects.”
Biden publicly disclosed his diagnosis with an aggressive form of prostate cancer in May 2025, less than four months after concluding his presidency. At that time, it was reported that the cancer had already spread to his bones. A spokesman for the former president confirmed in October that Biden was undergoing both radiation treatment and hormone therapy to manage the disease.
Joe Biden, who made history as the oldest person to win the US presidency in 2020, faced ongoing scrutiny regarding his physical health and mental acuity throughout his 2021-2025 term in office. Despite his health challenges, he attended the dedication of former President Barack Obama's presidential library in Chicago in June. Biden served as Obama's Vice President from 2009 to 2017.
His presidential memoir is currently scheduled for release on November 17, offering further insights into his time in public service and beyond.
