Industrialist Anand Mahindra has publicly endorsed Delhi's renowned Chor Bizarre restaurant, urging visitors to experience its authentic Kashmiri cuisine and distinctive ambiance. In a recent post on X, Mahindra reflected on his visit, describing the establishment as a timeless culinary destination and the genesis of restaurateur Rohit Khattar's successful ventures.
Mahindra recounted how Chor Bizarre, originally the dining room of Hotel Broadway, was transformed by Khattar into a wonderfully quirky take on Mumbai’s Chor Bazaar. He emphasized the restaurant's enduring commitment to traditional Kashmiri food, praising Chef Shivali for a memorable meal and her insights into the cuisine's rich folklore.
The industrialist noted his long-standing family connection with Khattar's family, spanning four generations. He disclosed his financial interest in Khattar's company, acknowledging investments made after Chor Bizarre's inception, which led to the expansion of culinary ambitions internationally, including acclaimed restaurants like Indian Accent, Comorin, Hosa, and Fireback.
Despite his financial ties, Mahindra reiterated his strong recommendation for Chor Bizarre, calling it “The OG” (Original Gangster) and an essential experience for anyone visiting Delhi. He highlighted the restaurant's unique character and its contribution to India's diverse culinary landscape, which also includes various regional specialities.
