Logistics firm Delhivery Ltd. reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 40.64 crore for Q2 FY27, a significant turnaround from last year's loss. Revenue from operations surged 20% year-on-year to Rs 3,066.38 crore, crossing the Rs 3,000 crore threshold for the first time.

Delhivery Ltd., a leading Indian logistics and supply chain services company, has announced a strong financial performance for the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2027 (Q2 FY27), reporting a consolidated net profit of Rs 40.64 crore. This marks a significant improvement compared to a loss of Rs 50.49 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Revenue Crosses Key Milestone

The company's revenue from operations saw a robust 20% year-on-year increase, reaching Rs 3,066.38 crore. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as it represents the first time Delhivery has surpassed the Rs 3,000 crore mark in quarterly revenue. Total income, including other income, stood at Rs 3,133 crore.

Operational efficiency also showed considerable improvement, with Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) nearly tripling year-on-year to Rs 205 crore.

Operating Expenses and Half-Year Performance

While revenue grew, operating expenses also saw an uptick. Freight, handling, and servicing costs increased to Rs 2,195.09 crore from Rs 1,842.89 crore in the year-ago quarter. Employee benefit expenses rose to Rs 446.29 crore from Rs 425.59 crore, and depreciation and amortisation costs were Rs 197.49 crore, up from Rs 178.11 crore. However, other expenses slightly decreased to Rs 220.13 crore from Rs 222.68 crore.

For the first half of FY27 (H1 FY27), Delhivery's operational revenue reached Rs 5,997.11 crore, compared to Rs 4,853.32 crore in the same period last year. Consolidated profit for the half-year surged to Rs 72.55 crore from Rs 40.55 crore, with net cash generated from operating activities improving to Rs 524.95 crore from Rs 214.62 crore.

Strategic Investment in Fintech Subsidiary

In a separate development, Delhivery's board has approved an investment of up to Rs 36 crore in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Delhivery Fintech Distribution Private Ltd. This investment will be made in one or more tranches to support the subsidiary's operational and business requirements.

Incorporated in June 2026, Delhivery Fintech Distribution aims to distribute financial and technology-led services across the logistics ecosystem. These services include insurance, FASTags, fuel cards, and GPS-based telematics solutions, targeting truckers, last-mile delivery agents, and micro, small, and medium enterprises. Delhivery will retain its 100% shareholding in the subsidiary, which had a paid-up share capital of Rs 15 crore and a turnover of Rs 5.3 lakh as of September 30, 2026.

Stock Market Performance

On the day of the announcement, Delhivery shares closed at Rs 386, down Rs 12 or 3.02% from the previous close of Rs 398. The stock opened at Rs 393.15, touching a high of Rs 399.35 before closing lower.
