· · 2 min read

Ajay Devgn's 'Drishyam 3' has collected ₹245.50 crore in its first week at the Indian box office. The crime thriller is now poised to challenge the lifetime domestic record of Devgn's previous blockbuster, 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior'.

Ajay Devgn's latest film, Drishyam 3, has achieved a strong performance at the Indian box office, wrapping up its first week with a collection of ₹245.50 crore. This puts the crime thriller just shy of the coveted ₹250 crore club, a significant milestone for any Indian film.

Released on October 2, the film is now setting its sights on a larger target: surpassing the lifetime domestic collections of Devgn's 2020 historical drama, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which garnered ₹279.59 crore in India.

Week 1 Box Office Breakdown for Drishyam 3

  • Friday (Day 1): ₹62 crore
  • Saturday (Day 2): ₹53.50 crore
  • Sunday (Day 3): ₹61 crore
  • Monday (Day 4): ₹21 crore
  • Tuesday (Day 5): ₹19.50 crore
  • Wednesday (Day 6): ₹15.50 crore
  • Thursday (Day 7): ₹13 crore

These figures bring the film's total India net collection to ₹245.50 crore, with a gross collection of ₹294.60 crore. Globally, Drishyam 3 has also performed robustly, adding ₹89 crore from overseas markets to reach a worldwide total of ₹383.60 crore by the end of its first Thursday.

Chasing Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior's Legacy

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, directed by Om Raut, was a major success for Ajay Devgn, achieving a domestic gross of ₹325 crore and a worldwide total of ₹361 crore during its extensive theatrical run. Drishyam 3, directed by Abhishek Pathak, has already surpassed Tanhaji's worldwide gross within its first week, but the domestic lifetime record remains a key benchmark.
