New Delhi, India – Gold and silver prices in India experienced downward pressure across both futures and retail markets on September 24, 2026. Traders observed a dip in precious metal futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), impacting rates nationwide.

MCX Futures See Declines

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold futures were down 0.24%, trading at ₹1,52,090 per 10 gm. Silver futures also slipped, declining by 0.53% to approximately ₹2,36,080 per kg at the time of reporting.

Retail Gold Rates Across Major Cities

Retail gold prices for 24-carat and 22-carat purities showed minor regional differences influenced by brand policies, procurement costs, and local market dynamics. The overall bullion trends, however, guided the general direction.

  • Delhi: 24K gold stood at ₹1,51,100 per 10 gm; 22K gold at ₹1,38,508 per 10 gm.
  • Mumbai: 24K gold was priced at ₹1,51,360 per 10 gm; 22K gold at ₹1,38,747 per 10 gm.
  • Kolkata: 24K gold traded at ₹1,51,160 per 10 gm; 22K gold at ₹1,38,563 per 10 gm.
  • Hyderabad: 24K gold reached ₹1,51,600 per 10 gm; 22K gold at ₹1,38,967 per 10 gm.
  • Chennai: 24K gold was ₹1,51,800 per 10 gm; 22K gold at ₹1,39,150 per 10 gm.
  • Bengaluru: 24K gold was ₹1,51,480 per 10 gm; 22K gold at ₹1,38,857 per 10 gm.

These retail figures reflect an overall price of ₹1,51,720 per 10 gm for 24-carat gold and ₹2,34,820 per kg for silver across the country.

Silver Prices Remain Consistent

Silver prices displayed uniformity across major Indian cities on September 24, 2026:

  • Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai: Silver was priced at ₹23,381 per 100 gm, or ₹2,33,810 per kg.

Major jewellery retailers reported largely stable gold rates for September 24, 2026. Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds both quoted 22K gold at ₹14,135 per gram across various Indian states. Tanishq's 22K gold rate stood slightly higher at ₹14,180 per gram. For 24-carat gold, Malabar offered ₹15,420 per gram, while Tanishq's rate was ₹15,469 per gram.
