On September 22, 2026, gold and silver prices in India saw minimal change across various purities and major cities. The overall bullion market trends continued to guide prices, although retail rates showed slight variations influenced by brand policies and local market conditions.
Gold Rates Hold Steady Across Key Cities

Silver Prices Also Largely Unchanged

Factors Influencing Precious Metal Prices
Several factors contribute to the daily fluctuations in gold and silver prices across India. These include the international price of gold, the exchange rate of the US Dollar against the Indian Rupee, and domestic demand, which often surges ahead of the festive season.
Retail prices can also vary based on specific jeweller policies, procurement costs, and regional market dynamics. While 24-karat gold is considered the purest form, 22-karat gold is widely used for ornaments due to its enhanced strength from alloyed metals.
“The marginal differences in retail prices are influenced by brand-specific pricing policies, procurement costs, and regional market conditions, while overall bullion trends continue to guide gold prices,” stated a Business Today Desk report.
Leading jewellers like Joyalukkas, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, and Tanishq reported consistent rates for 22K and 24K gold on September 21, 2026, reflecting the stable market trend observed on September 22.
