Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) Subsidy Changes

In a significant policy shift, the government has revised the subsidy structure under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). The number of subsidized LPG cylinders available to beneficiaries has been reduced from nine to four annually. This change means the annual benefit for PMUY recipients will decrease from ₹2,700 (₹300 subsidy on nine refills) to ₹1,200.

Consumers are advised to regularly track city-wise price updates and government policy changes to manage their household and transport fuel expenses effectively amidst the volatile global energy market.
