Zerodha Fund House, a prominent player in India's asset management sector, has officially rebranded as Zerodha CASE Funds. The Bengaluru-based fund house announced the change on November 6, 2026, coinciding with its third anniversary of operations. This strategic rebranding follows CASE Platforms, formerly known as smallcase, joining Zerodha as a co-sponsor of the mutual fund business.
The company has reported significant growth, achieving approximately ₹20,000 crore in assets under management (AUM) and an investor base that now exceeds 1.2 million (12 lakh) individuals. This milestone underscores its rapid expansion in the competitive financial market.
Growth and Milestones
Established in 2023 as a joint venture between Zerodha Broking and CASE Platforms, Zerodha CASE Funds has steadily expanded its offerings. Its portfolio now spans equity, debt, commodities, multi-asset allocation, and goal-based investment solutions. The fund house attributes its success to a strong focus on index-based products and a direct-to-investor approach, aimed at simplifying mutual fund investing and enhancing accessibility across India.
Notably, over 65% of its investor base originates from B30 cities, indicating a broad reach beyond India's 30 largest urban centers. This widespread participation highlights the fund's effectiveness in attracting investors from diverse geographical backgrounds.
Investment Philosophy and Product Innovation
Zerodha CASE Funds maintains its core investment philosophy, emphasizing passive investing, direct mutual fund plans, and technology-driven solutions. The fund house has also moved beyond conventional index funds, introducing several products it describes as industry-first innovations.
- LIQUIDCASE: Marketed as India's first Growth NAV Liquid ETF, this product aims to simplify cash management by eliminating the need for investors to track dividend payouts.
- Nifty Next 100 Index ETF: This offering provides investors with exposure to companies beyond the top 50 listed on the National Stock Exchange.
- Life Cycle Funds: These funds automatically adjust asset allocation strategies as investors approach their predetermined target investment year, offering a dynamic approach to long-term wealth building.
These products reflect the company's commitment to combining robust passive investment solutions with accessible, technology-led platforms.
Technology-Driven Accessibility
Technology remains a cornerstone of Zerodha CASE Funds' operational model. Its proprietary platform facilitates investments and systematic investment plan (SIP) management directly through WhatsApp. The fund also offers round-the-clock instant withdrawals from its Overnight Fund, subject to applicable limits, providing liquidity and convenience to investors.
To lower entry barriers, the platform allows daily micro-investments starting from just ₹10 in eligible schemes, making capital markets participation more accessible to small-ticket investors.
Vishal Jain, CEO of Zerodha CASE Funds, reiterated the company's commitment: "Zerodha CASE Funds' vision has always been to bring the benefits of simple investing to every Indian, regardless of where they live or how much they know about investing. Our unique approach with having index-based products and going direct to investors has enabled us to stay true to the goal of helping more Indians participate in the capital markets with confidence."
Jain added that the next phase of the company's growth would focus on empowering more Indians to make informed investment decisions and build long-term wealth effectively.
Impact on Existing Investors
For existing investors, the announcement primarily concerns the fund house's name and branding, including the renaming of existing mutual fund schemes to reflect the new Zerodha CASE Funds identity. The company has confirmed that there will be no change to its underlying investment philosophy or approach. Zerodha CASE Funds will continue to offer index funds, exchange-traded funds, and funds of funds through direct plans across various asset classes.
