Reliance Industries introduced JioBharatIQ at its 49th AGM, an AI platform designed to make artificial intelligence accessible and useful across India. Supporting 22 local languages, it aims to democratize AI for millions by removing linguistic barriers.

Mumbai, India – Reliance Industries has launched JioBharatIQ, a new artificial intelligence platform aimed at making AI accessible, affordable, and useful for every Indian. Unveiled at the company's 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM), the initiative is a significant step in Reliance's broader strategy to enhance India's digital capabilities.

Democratizing AI Across India

Akash Ambani, addressing shareholders, stated that Jio's decade-long journey has laid the groundwork for this new phase, focusing on elevating India's digital landscape. JioBharatIQ is positioned as a personal AI companion, designed to assist users with daily tasks, provide information, facilitate learning, and offer digital support.

A core feature of JioBharatIQ is its support for 22 Indian languages. This multilingual capability ensures that advanced AI technologies are not limited to English-speaking users, directly addressing India's vast linguistic diversity. Ambani emphasized that JioBharatIQ will truly make AI a companion for every Indian, fostering inclusive and widespread AI adoption across the nation.

Powered by Sovereign AI Infrastructure

The new platform is built on Reliance Intelligence, the company's proprietary sovereign AI infrastructure. This foundation ensures that JioBharatIQ operates on a secure, trusted, and environmentally conscious computing backbone. Reliance is committed to guiding all its AI services by three key principles: ease of use, trust, and affordability, aiming to simplify access to information and digital services for millions.

Vision for an Inclusive Digital Future

Reliance views AI as a mass-market technology rather than a niche tool, particularly as India accelerates its digital transformation. Through JioBharatIQ, the company intends to democratize access to artificial intelligence, allowing citizens in both urban and rural areas to benefit from emerging technologies in their daily lives. By eliminating language and technology barriers, Reliance aims to integrate AI as widely as mobile connectivity, empowering millions to participate in India's next wave of digital innovation.
