Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), was reportedly assaulted during a protest in Jaipur on Monday. While being carried on the shoulders of supporters, Dipke was slapped multiple times by two individuals. Following the incident, he accused members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of being behind the attack, calling it an attempt to suppress student voices and distract from critical issues.
Two youths have been detained by authorities in connection with the assault. Dipke, however, was resolute, stating, "There were some people belonging to RSS, and there is nothing new in it." He further claimed that such actions are typical when someone speaks out against the government or their ideology. Addressing speculations about his own alleged ties with the RSS or a meeting with Prime Minister Modi, Dipke sarcastically questioned if that was the reason for the attack.
Demands for Accountability
Beyond the assault, Dipke reiterated the CJP's primary demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. This demand stems from the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and reported irregularities within the CBSE on-screen marking (OSM) system for Class 12 board examinations. "We will not deviate from our issues; you attack us as much as you want," Dipke asserted, emphasizing the CJP's commitment to peaceful, democratic protest for the "more than one crore students suffering injustice."
Political Condemnation and Future Plans
The incident drew swift condemnation from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders. Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia described the attack as a "cowardly act," suggesting it was perpetrated by an "army of goondas" belonging to a "scared and corrupt king." He linked the attack to those allegedly orchestrating paper leaks and attempting to silence dissent. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also took to social media, condemning the assault and implying political affiliation of the attackers, stating, "We all know which party do the attackers belong to, and that's why no action will be taken against them."
Following the Jaipur incident, Abhijeet Dipke traveled to Nagpur, where he urged local residents, students, and youngsters to gather at Samvidhan Square for a peaceful demonstration at 4 PM. Nagpur Police have reportedly made extensive security arrangements in anticipation of the CJP protest, with officials expecting over 2,000 youths to participate.
