The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially unveiled India's One Day International (ODI) squad for the highly anticipated three-match series against England. Young sensation Shubman Gill is set to captain the side, with Shreyas Iyer named as his vice-captain.
Key Returns and Squad Composition
Veteran batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli make their return to the ODI setup, bolstering the batting line-up with their extensive experience. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah has also been selected, though his participation is contingent upon receiving full fitness clearance from the medical team.
The Men’s Selection Committee has crafted a squad that blends seasoned players with promising young talent. Alongside Gill, Kohli, Rohit, and Iyer, KL Rahul is included as a key batter and one of two wicketkeeping options, with Ishan Kishan being the other.
The spin department will feature Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav, providing variety and depth. India's pace attack looks formidable with Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, and Gurnoor Brar.
